Personally I'm hoping it was something like keeping whatever wrecked the city before from destroying things that have been rebuilt. If it'll get us out of this capsule hotel, I guess I can forgive them cutting and running a little early.
It's just awfully convenient that there's so many of them you'd never be able to pinpoint the exact one that did it, which totally takes the heat off of anyone else who might be suspected...

Also, seems like they'd have a hard time changing us out of our clothes without waking us up. That couldn't be easy to do with flippers.
We were probably knocked out somehow. Maybe with a drug or something. There's no way all of us would sleep through that no matter who was doing it.
I mean, I can be a heavy sleeper, but if someone tried to take my blastia from me, I know it'd take all of two seconds for me to wake up and them to get incinerated.

I don't know any magic that can do it, either, but... if we're talking about the magic of other worlds, that leaves room for a lot more possibilities beyond what I'm familiar with.
Right. The type of magic from my world that would put someone to sleep is usually accompanied by pretty strange dreams, or if you didn't dream you'd still feel a little off when you woke up.

Hypnokinesis is kind of an umbrella term for it, I guess - magic that stems from Hypnos, the God of Sleep. It's got to do with putting people to sleep, or manipulating their dreams... stuff like that.
