I almost wish I could say I'm surprised, but I sort of expected this to happen. It felt too easy.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of being thrown into a contest I didn't sign up for. The information they were giving us about the competition was pretty vague, too. I'm going to try to ask more questions tomorrow, but I'm wondering if it'll be more of the same. "Do hero-things and save your world." As if whoever's in charge isn't the one putting our worlds in danger to begin with.
None of them seemed to be able to really answer who that might be. When I asked about the competition the only answer I got was that it was "probably" the work of a villain. Which...yeah. I got that. That doesn't give us a ton to go off of though.
Their penguins weren't exactly inspiring a lot of confidence. Maybe the leaders are just as in the dark as they are? Doesn't explain why we should believe them right away, but it's a thought.
Depends on your definition of useful. But that's about where I'm at, too. I want to see how far the city goes and how far we can travel before somebody tries to stop us. That's the first thing. Beyond that, I want to see if there're other newspapers or anything about current events. The one in the lobby was extremely unhelpful.
