This horoscope stuff really is dumb...

Let me guess. You've got a task about horoscopes too?

[rizomata]

Yeah.



My world doesn't even use this calendar, so I had someone make up a sign for me.

[foreverphantom]

Make one up? You mean like a whole new star sign entirely? Or just a made up birthday to fit you into one of the existing ones?

[rizomata]

The latter. So, I'm going with the "horse guy" one.

[Sagittarius.]

[foreverphantom]

Sagittarius, huh? That one's alright, I guess. I mean, any constellation is alright, so. [ shrugs ]

I'm... [ give him a minute to think about it... ] ...an Aries.

[rizomata]

Hm.

[She grabs a magazine that happens to be nearby, and flips to the appropriate page.]

It says that now is the time to tackle the issues you've been waiting to act on. You "already have the map in your pocket," and you just have to go for it, et cetera, yada yada. And wearing anything in the color blue will attract positivity.

Week 3, Monday

[Hey Danny, Rita's at the art store, looking over the supplies.]

Guess I can use some of this for my notes...

[She's looking at drawing supplies: brushes, pencils, coloured pens and pencils and the like.]

What, are you gonna start painting all the murder info?

[she huffs at him.]

Color-coding is useful when trying to arrange data in a way that's easily legible!

And the occasional illustration doesn't hurt, either.

Do you actually know how to draw, or paint?

[rizomata]

I can sketch a blastia model with perfect accuracy, I'll have you know!

I have no idea what that is.

[ after all that Excitement, when he finds time to corner her in private somewhere in the park ]

...well. Looks like you're back to normal. [ then raises an eyebrow ] You...are back to being human, right?

[rizomata]

[ she's sitting somewhere to rest and maybe settle her nerves. ]

I was always human!

But... yeah. Looks like I'm solid now.

Welcome back to the land of the living, then, I guess.

What even happened? You were with Ryuki and Hanako in the same place, right?

Yeah, I don't know... we were at a school, and we had to take a test... and then everything just got completely screwed up.

[foreverphantom]

...screwed up how?

[rizomata]

... Like, everybody died for no good reason!? That kind of screwed up.

[ she's still in disbelief about the whole thing. ]

[ he stands there tensely for a minute, weighing his options, before he loosens just a bit ]

[ rita's not sure what to say to it all. it's not like she's any good with finding the right words for situations like this. ]

... Sorry. That's messed up... losing everything to something that senseless.

It wasn't really all that senseless, though, was it? I chose to cheat. Those were the consequences.

That's just stupid. It's not like anyone could have predicted that sort of outcome.
