'Sides, guilty or not guilty don't meowtter here, does it? I've killed plenty before I got here an' got called a hero for it, 'cause that's the way the world goes. Ain't that different from how it goes here.

It's pretty hard to picture you as "hero" material. Even though Berry Boy seems to have faith in you, for some reason.

Wouldn't call me hero meowterial, just got stuck with the job 'cause of some real meddlesome people. Same as here, some ways.

You have to? How do you "get stuck with" a job like that? Frankly, you seem like the kind of guy who'd find a way to weasel out of it if you really wanted to.

Really thought about it! Even when I got chased across half the continent, 'cause these Saint types don't know when to quit.

But, unlucky fer me, I like killin' fiends and they made it sound more interestin' than any other job.
